The EXPERIMENTAL TELEVISION CENTER was founded in 1971, an outgrowth of a media access program established by Ralph Hocking at Binghamton University in 1969; today, the Center continues to provide support and services to the media arts community.

CINEMA RESTAURANTS (www.cinemarestaurants.com)
When Steve Galanis opened the first Cinema Cafe on 34th street fifteen years ago, he had a simple plan. "I wanted to serve good food and show movies", he says. "The great NYC revival houses were dying out. There was no place people could go to see classic silent films anymore. so I started showing them in the restaurant and people kept coming."
